What this site collects
Anonymous page-view statistics, and nothing else. No cookies, no accounts, no forms, no tracking across other websites.
Analytics
Page views are counted using Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage, which is why this site has no consent banner. Visitors are counted using a hash derived from the incoming request, and that hash is discarded after 24 hours, so an individual cannot be followed between sessions or onto other websites.
Each page view records:
- the time of the visit
- the page address, and the referring page if there was one
- approximate location derived from the request, no more precise than a city
- device type, operating system and browser, with version numbers
Your IP address is not stored, and none of this is tied to you as a person. The statistics are aggregated and visible only to Vaerens. Vercel processes this data on our behalf and retains it for up to twelve months.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and carries no third-party advertising or tracking scripts.
The tools
The DLI and VPD calculators run entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are never sent anywhere and are not stored. Beyond the page view itself, nothing about how you use them is recorded.
Getting in touch
There is no contact form on this site. The address on the contact page opens your own mail client. If you write to us, the message is kept so that it can be answered, and is not added to any mailing list.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers log requests as part of delivering it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Because the analytics are anonymous there is normally nothing to look up. Anything held came from an email you sent, and can be deleted on request.
